EMPLOYMENT STATUS Full time reqular Shift Based work – 2 week rota including Days, Nights and backshift     ABOUT THIS JOB   We are currently seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our expanding team due to recent growth within the business and internal promotion. You will also have the opportunity to develop their skills and to progress your career within a global organization   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES   To be considered for the machinist role, the successful applicant with possess the following attributes;   Competent in the setting and operation of the majority of conventional and/or CNC Lathes / CNC Mills. Capable of programming components on machine controls (Fanuc; Mazatrol; Philips; Hiedenhain). Ability to recognize, solve & implement required changes for machining related problems. Proven ability to manufacture a variety piece parts using a number of machine tools and  programming languages Ability to coach and train others within a manufacturing environment Experience of working in a workshop environment Ability to work in a team and use own initiative Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including e-mail Organisational and Communication skills            Upon joining the team, your responsibilities will include;   Reading and interprets engineering blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished work piece, sequence of operations tooling programming and setup requirements.   Ability to operate and handle materials and tools in safe manner, adhering to safety procedures at all times providing guidance to others.   Adheres to Housekeeping requirements, promotes Safety Processes & Risk assessments & maintains a safe and clean working environment throughout the facility.   ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS School Certifications , Highers, GCSE’s or equivalent HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous, but not essential as a proven background within a similar environment is as important.     OTHER DETAILS Shift based work on a 2 week pattern; Days       Backshift           Nights Overtime opportunites available   COMPANY OVERVIEW   Baker Hughes is a leading supplier of oilfield services, products, technology and systems to the worldwide oil and natural gas industry.
