COMMERCIAL BUSINESS ANALYST M/V ()

Beschrijving:

• Perform a key role within the overall Commercial Team. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Market analysis
  • Preparation of key market input and attendance at the monthly volume/pricing optimisation meetings
  • Preparation of Management information related to various analyses
  • Provide analytical support for sales and marketing team as required
  • Liaise with sales team and Operations Manager on forecast sales models
  • Support the feedstock manager in supplier negotiations and projects
  • Be the link with IST on Risk manage tools including gasoline hedging
  • Maintain feedstock pricing data base
  • Lead in GFO/plan input to finance
  • Administrator role in Global optimisation team.
• Support development of commercial agreements in Europe designed to improve the long term performance of the BU. These projects could include: commercial agreements, hedging, alliances, technical partnerships, capital investment options.
• Analyse, help develop, and recommend projects to increase security of supply and long-term value of the business
• Develop and maintain a view on Europe supply and demand as well as a view of demand and sourcing options
• Support the business Manager in understanding both the long-term and the short-term position of the market 
• Act as the centre of expertise on imports in Europe, producing monthly/quarterly reports to inform the wider commercial team
• In conjunction with the Business Manager maintain and develop models to support delivery of Contracting Strategy and associated sales targets
• Support the Feedstocks Manager to evaluate competitor/supplier position and possible sourcing strategy development and associated contracts
• Contribute to developing the strategic direction of commercial activities
• Work in compliance with ISO/OMS 

• Bachelor or Master’s degree or equal by experience (e.g. economics)
• Excellent in analytics
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Selfstarter
• Financial knowledge (project economics) is a plus
• Willing to do a temporary assignment for 9 to 12 months.

Our client is a chemical company located in the area of Geel. For a temporary assignment (9-12 months), they are looking for a commercial business analyst m/v.

The role will have 2 main areas:
– Provide support and analysis to the feedstocks manager.
– Provide analytical support to the business manager to allow deeper understanding of the industry and support the global optimization team.

It is required to work closely with all areas of the current organization; sales and marketing, performance and control, manufacturing, logistics and business development to present and relay credible, concise and informative data to the management team. In this role you will report to the Operations and Business Development Manager
