Credit Controller ()

Our client is located in Brussels.

Robert Half is currently looking for a (m/f) Credit Controller EMEA for one of our clients active in production.

Reporting to the Credit Manager EMEA, you will have following responsibilities:

• Identify and work with internal & external contacts to resolve payment issues
• Contact business customers to obtain status of overdue payments
• Collect delinquent receivables to achieve Individual/Team Collection Targets
• Build strong relationships with external customers to ease the collection activity, conduct proper risk analysis and support the Sales activities
• Ensure proper and timely application of cash
• Analyze the credit risk of the assigned portfolio of customers. Recommend and approve appropriate Credit Limits and provide risk mitigation strategies
• Travel and meet with customers as required
• Serve as focal point for the Customer Service, Sales, Sourcing and Corporate Finance organization in all credit-related matters
• Provide reliable and meaningful reports to Sales and Finance Management.
• Organize monthly calls and portfolio performance presentations.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Experience in B2B Cash Collection in a multinational environment is required; a first experience in financial analysis is considered a strong asset
• Knowledge of English, French and German required, further knowledge of Spanish or Italian is a distinct advantage;
• Excellent IT skills and very good command of standard MS Office packages required. Experience with SAP and Business Objects is strongly preferable.
• Self-starter and proactively liaise with internal and external customers to meet their needs and achieve team & company targets
• Able to adapt across various cultures and multiple environments and to function in a matrix structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries
• Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
