Financial Controller Logistics/Maritime ()

Beschrijving:

Our client is one of the largest and fast growing companies in container and terminal business wordwide. To further sustain there international activities they are looking for a financial controller, based in the harbor area near the A12 between Antwerp and Holland.

MAIN TARGETS:

• To set-up a world-class group reporting system.
• To provide timely and accurate financial information and expertise to enable management to make informed decisions.
• To execute financial controls in local companies, compliant with group accounting principles.

ORGANIZE GROUP REPORTING:

• Identify and define KPI’s;
• Set targets to be achieved;
• Implement automatic data controls in reporting system;
• Training of local finance organizations in setting up monthly reporting procedure;
• Assist in translating reporting needs into IT translation into local accounting system.

GROUP REPORTING:

• Collect monthly reports from each terminal;
• Follow-up on timely delivery of input from all terminals;
• Provide high quality financial information internally to management:

1. Provide appropriate financial information and expertise to support and challenge investment recommendation and decision making (eg. Expansion investments, acquisitions, …)
2. Assist with ideas and recommendations for management reporting standards;
3. Facilitate appropriate understanding of the historical, current and forecasted financial performance of each terminal through the provision of accurate management reports and information.

ANNUAL BUDGETTING PROCEDURE:

• Liaise with terminals for budget preparation;
• Analysis of budget prepared by terminals;
• List comments on budget towards CFO and board members.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:

• Analysis of budget/actual variances;
• Achievement of KPI-targets;
• Ad-hoc financial analysis.

• You have a Master’s degree in Economics or Financ
• You have a 5 – 7 years experience in audit (Big4 company) or a relevant working experience in controlling in the same industries
• You are comfortable working in an international environment
• Experience with financial reporting systems, such as Cognos or Hyperion is an asset
• You have a strong feeling of responsibility
• Finally, you have an excellent command of English, both oral and written. Additional language skills such as French is highly recommended.
