IT Projects Coordinator ()

The role of the IT Projects Coordinator is, under the supervision of the Institut Jules Bordet IT Director and the Institut Jules Bordet Coordinator of Research IT, to manage all IT Projects of the Breast Unit, and coordinate all tasks necessary for the development of applications/systems used to manage clinical trials data so that requirements defined by stakeholders are adequately met.

 

To achieve this task he/she:

  • Develops project plans   both strategic and operational – and manages all functions and responsibilities needed to achieve quality project goals and deliverables on time.
  • Ensures that computer systems set up, developed and/or used at Breast are properly validated according to current regulations and best practices.
  • Maintains dynamic communication related to IT with project stakeholders.
  • Keeps the IT team separated from stakeholders

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Hold a master degree
  • Able to work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solution
  • Can manage a team up to 10 people
  • Has at least 5 years of experience in IT projects or IT management
  • Experience of working on clinical trials with knowledge of related regulations (GCP, 21 CFR part 11 and others) is a plus
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English
  • Willing to bring his/her contribution in a demanding academic environment

The Breast Adjuvant Study Team (BrEAST) established by Dr Martine Piccart in 1997, is a department of Belgium’s world-renowned cancer centre, Institut Jules Bordet. BrEAST mission is to design, implement and conduct phase II and III breast cancer clinical trials. Located in Brussels, Belgium, right in the heart of Europe, the team consists of about 60 members including medical oncologists, project managers, data managers, computer scientists, data entry staff, etc.

 

The Breast Adjuvant Study Team of the Institut Jules Bordet (IJB) is looking for an experienced IT Projects Coordinator.

The position offered is full time, open ended.
