As a member of the Accounting Team of the CTFM Department, your general mission is to ensure Controlling and Reporting tasks related to the Dealing Room activities (including Asset & Liability Management) of AXA Bank Europe.
By successful we mean on time and with a high degree of quality.
In this team, you will be more particularly in charge of the different accounting tasks, including the monthly closing tasks.
Active participation to accounting related projects is also part of the function.

Major responsabilities/ main activities

1. Ensure the accounting integrity of the Treasury & Financial Markets activities of AXA Bank Europe by daily performing the necessary recurring accounting controls.
This includes: daily reconciliations and follow-up, plausibility checks, delta checks, at random controls, investigation and reporting on discrepancies or exceptions, …

2. Participate to the closing tasks for the Dealing Room activities.
This includes: financial consolidation reporting (in compliance with standards and booking schemes), for B-Gaap and IFRS, legal and regulatory reporting, analysis of the evolution of the balance sheet and the P&L …

3. Provide correct disclosures to the Group (+/- 60 disclosures), in the respect of the deadlines.

4. Contribution to the development of the activities of the Dealing Room (including ALM), the Finance Department and AXA Bank Europe in general by bringing punctual active participation in various projects (in collaboration with other departments within the Treasury organization).

The person will report to the Head of Controlling, Accounting and Reporting & Team of the CTFM department (6 FTE in total).

– University degree, with an Accounting or Finance orientation
– In-depth knowledge of Accounting: Belgian standards and IFRS
– Knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments (Forex, Treasury, Fixed income, Equities, Derivatives)
– Strong IT skills: MS office (word, excel). Programming languages (Visual Basic) is a plus
– Knowledge of standard rules: SOX, Basel II, Basel III, NBB, …
– Knowledge of integrated Trading software (Sophis, Bloomberg, Reuters…) is a plus
