Our client is a large international company situated in Wallonia.

In order to reinforce its legal department, our client is currently looking for a legal counsel.

Your principal tasks will be the following:

– Follow up on intellectual property law (patents, trademarks, licence agreements, confidentiality agreements, litigation,…) in collaboration with external consultants.

– Commercial and contract law, including the negotiation and drafting of contracts (e.g. supplier agreements, general terms and conditions, sale & purchase, distribution, outsourcing,…).

– Support in international contract law and public procurement.

– Follow up on (pre)litigation.

– Development of compliance procedures.

– General follow up on relevant legal developments.

You have obtained a Belgian Master in law, preferably with excellent results.

You have about 3 or 4 years of experience as a lawyer in a large or medium sized law firm or as a legal counsel, ideally in an international industrial company.

You have relevant experience in IP law and contract law. You have experience with contract negotiations and English contract drafting.

You have an excellent working knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken.

You possess excellent communication skills, you are open minded and a team player.

You are client oriented and pragmatic. You are able to translate complex legal issues into business oriented solutions.

You are motivated, rigorous, discreet and flexible.
