For one of our clients located in Zaventem (Brussels airport) we are currently looking for a System Administrator: For our site at Brussels Airport we are looking for a driven, dedicated System Administrator. As a Systems Administrator, you will ensure the Operational IT infrastructure is maintained at the highest standards. You will work with your IT colleagues and manufacturers on the development and revision of the IT system support strategies in order to ensure our SLA and system availability targets are met, and our Service Performance is brought to an higher level Responsibilities: *Continuous Monitoring and maintenance of our Server park *Setting up and improving automatic monitoring systems: Server monitoring, network monitoring, workstation monitoring *Monitoring and maintaining the entire ARINC CUTE (Commonly Used Terminal Equipment) platform *(First line) and second line support for system problems (hard/software), connectivity issues and application errors *Troubleshooting and resolving network problems, application problems and peripheral problems *Collaborating with worldwide IT Helpdesks from airlines in order to resolve host issues or airline application issues. *Performing remote support in case of escalations when on duty call. *Liaising with our engineering teams in USA and UK to perform software updates and implementation and configuration of system changes. *Liaising with airlines to perform changes and updates in the system according to their wishes. *Assisting in implementing new systems, projects or applications. *Creating and documenting (new) procedures, and optimizing current procedures *Gathering statistics on trouble tickets, application availability and server/network availability, and create detailed reporting towards Site Manager. *Train and brief the team members on new tactics, solutions for problems or procedures. *Work with the Site Manager to enhance problem management *Assisting the Site Manager in his duties in case of his absence or when necessary You are offered: *A Challenging job in a young , motivated team, in an ever changing airport environment. *A very varied task package *Possibility to work autonomously, and participating in developing the site on many levels. *A Salary conform market, experience, and skills. *Working for an international organization, world leader in aviation solutions, with possibilities to go abroad. *Extralegal benefits like meal vouchers, Pension funds, Health insurance for you and your partner, laptop and cellphone *Strong Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Domain Controllers *Strong Knowledge of Windows Registry, Processes and Services *Knowledge of networking, layers (TCP/IP, VPN), firewalls and routers *Knowledge of supporting tools as Dameware *Familiar with VMWare, Load Balancers etc *Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables, Macro’s, Graph’s, formula’s *Fluent in (technical) English and Dutch or French *Experience in CUTE systems, or airport environments is a plus *Experience in first/second line support and problem solving is a plus Profile: *Strong analytical , problem solving mindset *Strong skills on system management: *Customer and people oriented mentality *Very Process and procedures driven *Flexible, willing to learn, dedicated. *Capable of handling stressful situations *Driven, determined to solve problems and help customers and colleagues *Capable of working very autonomously *Fluent in English, Dutch & French
