The Thoracic Business Consultant will be responsible for leading projects inside and outside hospitals that deliver additional value to future and current Key customers. Principle Accountabilities of the Thoracic Business Consultant • Develop partnerships with thoracic centers, based on customized solutions that answer specific needs • Build strong ethical and business relationships and long-term contractual agreements with thoracic surgical teams and management • Develop and drive appropriate portfolio strategy (focus: products related to thoracic procedures) in collaboration with the Business Units to gain market share in new accounts and grow business in Covidien accounts • Identify business opportunities within the field of thoracics and coordinate with the sales teams to execute and accelerate on these opportunities • Be the “one face” of Surgical Solutions for our thoracic customers by pro-actively coordinating with Surgical Solutions teams to provide full account management support • Identify and develop Key Opinion leader support and represent the Company at key conference and networking events to reinforce Covidien presence and brand on the market • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in terms of revenues and margins. Minimum requirements of the Thoracic Business Consultant • A bachelor degree or higher in a relevant discipline • A proven track record of success in sales in medical devices, preferably within the Benelux thoracic market • Excellent project management and organizational skills: result-focused, able to set priorities and self-manage projects / initiatives in a timely fashion • A strong team player with the ability to work in a fast changing, demanding and highly matrixed business environment who can also work independently. • Native/fluent in Dutch and English. Fluency in French is preferably.
