Financial Controller – Right Hand CFO in a SME environment ()

Beschrijving:

  1. Head Control Function of Company

 

  • Compliance with the Groups’ Accounting policies, USGAAP, BEGAAP. Advise CFO on possible issues and get clearance
  • Ensure strong control environment is maintained
  • Ownership of balance sheet and B/S reconciliations ensuring validity of Assets and Liabilities
  • Control environment reporting to Regional Controller and to the Group
  • Internal accounting issues   identification, reporting and remediation
  • Development of local finance procedures
  • Authorisation matrix update
  • Ownership of SOX quarterly review process, including preparing sign off letters to the Group HQ

 

  1. Control / Direction / Development Accountancy functions of:

 

  • General ledger
  • A/R, Customer Master File & revenue recognition
  • A/P, Vendor Master File & disbursements
  • Inventory & IMF
  • Payroll & PMF

 

  1. Control over JD Edwards Financials & Cash Mentor Logistics package

 

  • User access
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Revenue Recognition Process
  • Purchase Order Process
  • Recommend development
  • HFM Mapping
  • Group reporting requirements

 

  1. Treasury/Electronic Banking

 

  • Control over various electronic banking packages
  • Liaise with Bank/Group Treasury functions as appropriate

 

  1. Maintenance of the Group Information Databases

 

  • For example; guarantees, leases, legal, statutory

 

  1. Internal & External Audit

 

  • Control statutory external process, liaise with external auditors, advisors, prepare audit file, tax pack, through to prompt filing of Statutory Accounts
  • Liaise with Internal Audit and Internal Controller functions

 

  1. Production of Period Reporting Pack

 

  • Periodic End control list
  • Journal production and authorisation
  • Spend analysis
  • Monthly Reporting into HFM
  • Development of systems to allow better reporting
  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equal or CA/ACCA
  • You have 3-8 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Controlling or similar
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
  • You have excellent IT skills
  • You have a good knowledge of BEGAAP
  • HFM reporting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus
  • You communicate ideas and opinions in a clear and pragmatic way
  • You are proactive with keen desire to make a difference
  • You believe in process and process development to drive improvement
  • You are stress resistant

For our client, a SME located in the North of Brussels and being a part of a worldwide group, we are looking for a Financial Controller/Right hand of the Finance Director.
