Our Client :

Our client is an American multinational with a wide product range. Worldwide, the company has over 120.000 employees and 30 manufacturing plants.

Today we are looking for a creative mechanical engineer with a significant experience in leading a team of CAD-designers. He/she will work in the Industrial Air Filter Business Unit.

Your tasks :

• Leading, supervising, supporting and motivating a team of Cad designers & Cad design engineers.
• Support in setting up the Cad activity planning. Maintain, follow-up and execute planned activities. Pro-active indicating issues disturbing planned activities and take initiative in proposing solutions or interventions to stay on track.
• Taking initiatives to propose new products and sub components for the IAF market.
• Develop, design, draw, control, document and maintain potentially complex filter systems following specific market and organizational requirements.
• Ensure a high quality level and consistency of designs and drawings made by the team by initiating design & drafting procedures indicating how to work and what international standards to follow.
• Follow-up, present, defend, clarify, listen and give support on designs & drawings released to production plants and/or sub-contractors.
• Traveling within the EU region to visit the IAF manufacturing plants and subcontractors.

Your profile :

• Bachelor / Master in (electro)mechanics.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial environment designing and developing products with 3 CAD systems, of which 2 years of supervising experience.
• Strong experience in sheet metal production processes; knowledge in alu casting & extrusions or thermoforming plastics is an asset.
• Good communication skills in English verbal and written; verbal skills in German & Dutch are an asset.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, design & drafting, preferably in Siemens NX.
• Strong knowledge concerning CE regulations and Drafting standards and practices like functional dimensioning and tolerances.
