The Database Systems team of the department “Technical Operations   Delivery Services” has the mission to design, to implement, to operate and to maintain Oracle database platforms supporting high-critical electronic payment business in a secure, fast and cost efficient environment.

In the scope of the growing Oracle products platforms, we are currently looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to assist us in the implementation and the maintenance of Oracle Database technologies.

Responsibilities :

Hereunder a detailed list describing some of the activities/deliverables:

  • Provide technical expertise on Oracle Database;
  • Ability to drive architecture design on customer projects and act as a trusted advisor on Oracle Database to deliver highly available and secured database environments;
  • Install, patch, upgrade and maintain all Oracle Database and Enterprise Management software;
  • Implement backup & recovery strategy using RMAN, Data Pump, etc.
  • Implement Oracle High availability technology with RAC, Data Guard, etc;
  • Facilitate and actively participate in all phases of a project development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and development, testing and implementation, post-production support and evolution;
  • Help customer on benchmark to identify bottlenecks, and provide guidance on tuning and optimization of Oracle Database;
  • Be able to write accurate and concise technical documentation;
  • Deliver trainings on Oracle Database and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience on Oracle Database for experienced positions;
  • Ability to work and communicate in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle 10gR2 to 11gR2 with production support experience in a multi-project, multi-sites environment;
  • Strong interest in supporting and maintaining complex, mission-critical and highly secure databases.
  • Oracle performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities;
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL including tuning;
  • Experience with Unix/Linux in a multi-domain environment including shell scripting;
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle Grid Control;
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, Streams, RAC , RAC One node, ASM and RMAN in a critical and real-time production environment;
  • Knowledge of storage high-availability management & networking;
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database auditing;
  • Knowledge of Enterprise User Security (EUS) and Oracle Identity Manager (IDM);
  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business suite including patching and cloning;
  • Knowledge of Mobile, iSupplier and Objective Barcoding (on top of Oracle EBS) is a plus;

  • Ability to work during the weekend and outside Office hours for planned intervention and On-Call role;

  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
  • Fluent in English
  • French or Dutch language skill is a plus.
