Service Engineer Food Industry (New-York-based) ()


– Ensure that technical projects are implemented in a quick and efficient way.
– In charge of minimizing the production downtimes and preventive maintenance in order to keep the production equipment in good condition.
– In charge for troubleshooting in case of technical problems and production problems
– Maintenance of all machinery and ensure that all the machines are “production ready”
– Detect technical improvement and develop them
– Assist the Corporate Technical Director in the development of specific projects
– Ensure the safety of the local machinery in accordance with local legislations
– In charge for the negotiations for specific activities that needs to be executed by third parties and/or for the purchase of new materials within the constraints of the allocated budget
– In charge for the Energy management (gas and electricity) and ensure that everything is in
accordance with local legislations
– In charge of the coordination and the final check of performed technical activities by internal technician and third parties
– Work closely with Production to achieve projects within the deadlines and give support in case of audits
– Keep the network and telephone installations up and running according to local legislations
– Maintain the bleu prints and follow up through CMMS package (c-works)
– Manage the inventory of spare parts & components and installation of materials where needed
– Keep the technical files up-to-date on the server (installations and machines)
– Member of the HACCP team

– Holder of a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with production automation as option
– At least 3 years of experience in similar position in a production environment
– Knowledge of English absolute required. Good knowledge of Spanish is an asset
– Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
– Knowledge of mechanical and electrical suppliers
– Able to negotiate, plan, develop and implement projects
– Able to manage third parties
– Basic knowledge of PLC programming and inverters is an asset.
